It's graphics are literally on par with Shadow of the Colossus for the PS2, and it's gameplay looked janky and meh

I'd say it's a good thing. It means they stopped trying to improve the game's technical aspect and started focusing on putting actual content in it.
I'm personally satisfied with how it looked in the last video. If the game's half as good as SOTC, it will be GOTY anyway.
I hope it comes out this year, I got a PS3 for this.

I feel confident it'll at least be good, I mean it's basically just Ico with some SotC mechanics added in, kind of hard to fuck that up. It seems like most of the problems have stemed from technical limitations.
