Only played 1 and 3, but damn I can't recommend 1 if you actually want to play stealthily. Boomer that fucking asshole is always by your side and just shoots anything that comes within 20 metres of you, even if it's a totally unaware enemy that wouldn't have noticed you anyways. Even worse, he's such a bad shot it'll take him half a magazine to take the dude out, which will alert him and raise the alarm.
3 was pretty good though, I was surprised by how few times it actually forces you into direct combat. That level where you have to defend the flooded factory building sucks ass though.

Really good games. Don't even like any of your quad get injured. That's not a good squad leader.
swat 4 has such great freedom, you could play it right or just bust down doors and kneecap people. it was great when you injured a suspect and they still try to run away with a limp.
Is there any way of getting Rogue Spear playable on a modern PC? Or even a place to get it? Everything I tried resulted in failure. At best I was able to play the game mostly fine, just my campaign progress doesn't get saved.

Come on, I like SWAT 4 as much as the other guy, but it had a lot of bullshit like not being able to cuff uncooperative suspects or having to report everything manually. The AI has no initiative, too, and can be pretty retarded at times.
Now, new SWAT with better AI and streamlined mechanics, that would be something.
