I think the first FPS I was actually able to beat was Halo 1 and even that gave me some issues at times.

I can play Doom, but I can't play Quake or RTCW because they both give me motion sickness and a headache.

Freeaim actually gimps the BFG because of the way it cast hitscan lines. I'm guessing some of the rays that determine where the secondary blast appear go into the ceiling or the floor if your aim isn't completely level.

Doom, Doom 2, Doom 64, and most recently Plutonia. Map 32 in Plutonia took me like a half hour. Fucking Arch-Viles.

I used to be able to enjoy playing Doom but it just seems so slow and boring after playing Quake. The enemies in Doom are just so slow and simple. It seems like the only way to get you to be alert and on your feet in the game is to have hordes of enemies spam projectiles at you, however I find it monotonously grueling to deal with large amounts of monsters. I prefer Quake's approach where even a pair of common enemies such as ogres can give you a hard time if they have clever level placement.

I found the first third of TNT pretty nicely made. It's in the last two thirds of the WAD I felt it really hit a sour note. But yes, hitscanners aplenty.

I actually first played doom 1 in 2013, then I played 2, maned to beat them both on the second hardest difficulty but I'm not good enough for nightmare, the fast projectiles widdle me down too quick along with re-spawning enemies when I get lost.
