Redneck Rampage was another build game that had a good double barrel. You could hold the fire button down and it would fire both barrels too.

Early game they perfectly epitomize the hobo-phase, running around using the double barrel sawn-off with slug rounds its the closest thing you have to a real rifle.
It also stays nicely useful late game, since it's much lighter than the late game shotguns.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the last word on the double barrel shotgun!
Brought by the Free to Play game Warframe, I present the Tigris.
It can be modified to be one of the strongest single target guns in the game, along with an interesting shooting mechanism: Pulling and holding the trigger fires the first shell, and releasing the trigger fires the second shell. It's my favorite weapon in the game for end game content!
Pros:
It may not kill groups like grenade launchers, but it kills one guy VERY hard with every shot.
Every time I kill someone, it launches corpses at the speed of sound like a mile away, for lulz.
Cons:
It takes 1.8 seconds to reload, which sucks if you are in a huge fire fight. It can be shaved off, but I still find it crippling.
It hurts in more ways than one when you fire one of your shots and miss completely. It feels like a waste of power.
Honestly, I see a lot of people run with the Tonkor Grenade Launcher, but I still stick with the Tigris.

I think it has to do with all three being generally one shot - one kill weapons. Their longer reload times also make successful shots feel like a reward to a time investment. Then good sound design adds the cherry on top.

With the right upgrades in accuracy and proper use of hunting slugs pic relate can give anything up to an Dranganov a run for its money. Only problem is the low ammo capacity of 2 shells per load, try hunting cheekis with that kind of obstacle.
