Are there any games that really make you work for a good ending? Pic related I guess
ive been stuck on last light for a while.
Its not too far into the game, but theres a part where youre outside, and have to walk through a downed plane. You start having hallucinations and collapse.
The whole fucking time my air filter is degrading, so by the time the hallucination is over, i have like 10 seconds of air to get to the building.
The last time i tried i made it to the building, and as i was screwing in a new filter, i died.
Love these games though, good spooky without cheap scares, even if it is linear

You can take your gas mask off and out it back on to reset Artyom's coughing fits. But really, the plane is full of filters. Just look inbetween the seats and search the skeletons.

Just recently played through it, but I'd say Witch and the Hundred Knight fits the bill.
In order to get the good ending, you have to kill a few optional bosses even though the game doesn't tell you that you can or should. Once you do, the following chapter (which you can't access without doing the above, else you get a bad ending) is a massive difficulty spike and grind wall. One particular boss in that part is a bitch and a half.

I don't actually own a PC, so I bought a cheap 20 buck tablet and like to watch let's plays and pretend it's PC. The battery is shit so i already have to keep it plugged in all the time. I got a speaker to prevent the echo sounds and Bluetooth for the keyboard. I even put a little flashlight under those cups on the top and switch them from red to green to show if it's on or off
