if you play on grounded difficulty. you can see what i mean. the melee system is broken shit. you get enemies getting punched in the face teleporting you to an animation of your face getting slammed in. this shit happens even when you use melee weapons. a good 1/3 of the game's combat.

That all happens automatically; you auto stand up a bit when aiming over cover because the game knows the cover is obstructing your view. When you get near cover you will look like you're sticking to it, but thats just the animation. You can easily walk away like it isn't there. In other games you lock on and stick to cover
