i went back to it and this game was way way worse than i remember it being.
So why is /v/ suddenly interested in this game? I've seen other threads over the past few days too. Not that it's bad, but Allied Assault was overall better.

As I said before, Makin Atoll is fucking shit tier, with trees and shrub everywhere, hidden enemies, and all you have are Springfield M1903, Arisaka's and an M51 Reising SMG which is shit tier.
Once you reach Guadalcanal and later Tarawa it gets much better, also more open. I really liked river patrols at the games mid point and you find that rare Johnson SMG.

playing on realistic this game was fucking hard. you keep getting shot from out of nowhere and it takes you like 15 deaths to figure out it's that one jap hiding behind an obscure rock behind the building behind you.
