Alternatively: Which video game(s) wouldn't make a good movie?
Picture related. It would devolve into pure meta-humour.

ZELDA :D
Majoras Mask is the only I can think of seeing as how self contained it is
None of them? If we're talking strict adaptations of plots then, yeah, no video game. It'll always come across clunky and awkward.
If we're talking about movies that take place in the worlds of games? Maybe The Last of Us? Although that'd literally just be another zombie movie.
The problem with adapting games 1:1 to movies is that even the shortest games that have a measurable story are at least as long as a LONG movie. And it's not like a book where some event that takes place over a couple of "seconds" or "minutes" (e.g. a battle or duel) can take place over many pages. Books have a lot of descriptions for what we're supposed to be seeing, and movies can just condense that into, y'know, moving.
Every part of a video game is CONTENT. 30+ hours of CONTENT can't really be shortened into 2.5 hours without fucking it up bad.

Sequels? Directors aren't above splitting one plot across several movies.
100% To The Moon always.

True, but that presents a lot of risks to a studio. They have to assume that a, probably untested, IP will make enough profit to warrant a sequel. The IP would have to be a 100% sure thing hit to warrant the risk.
That's not to say companies don't do this, but a lot of them are calculated risks. Lord of the Rings was already world known and critically and culturally loved when they set out to make a trilogy.
The only way you'd ever convince execs to bank on sequels is if you had a very strong director name attached to it. And that is, unfortunately, unlikely.
Metal Gear 1&2
Well, it could. It would replace any chance for a remake, but Venom kinda ruins it being just a stand alone.
The Uncharted games are basically already movies.

You mean non stop memes

Dante's inferno and Castlevania lords of shadows
bioshock
or are they making one already?
LISA has an interesting and concise plot with a neat setting, you could do it all in an hour and half.
>>333577541
Yes, because memes and Pop Culture are synonymous. I sure do see many reenactments/templates of the sandbag swapping scene from Indiana Jones or the rabbit from Donnie Darko.

am i just seeing things or is the guy inside that suit really fucked up in terms of proportions
SimCity. And I'm not joking. A good writer could pull off something as good as the movie "Clue."
The Witcher series with Maads Mikkelson as Geralt.
