Incorrect. Shale is a worse tank than Alistair by far. Stoneheart does not make up for having no shield wall and not being able to wear armour. Not only that, Alistair gets Templar/Champion aura bonuses to help tank and buff his teammates even more. Shale cannot do the same, because she can't use Stone Aura and Stoneheart at the same time. The only reason not to include Alistair in your team is if you're already playing a sword'n'board warrior.

There is nothing that any bard kit can do that any other class can't do better. That's the point of the class. Defensive stance is the best thing he can do and even that's not a very good skill, my fighters naturally have a lower armor class than he reaches and AC barely matters at all once you get into the lategame and everything is hurling magic at you. Also, he's got 9 CON.

Druid is an extremely powerful classINSECT PLAGUEand Cernd has high stats where it matters (Wisdom: 18).
While Jaheira will become superior in ToB she is also crippled by the odd experience progression for druids in the 12-14 range. Cernd gets the huge benefits of lv 14 much earlier.Jaheira's entire romance line is fucking cancerous as well. She raises hell if you DARE kick her out of your party. Give him a Belm on the offhand and he easily hits 4 attacks per round at max damage. He is offensively and defensively stronger then any other melee orientated character. He shits on every fighter in the game in SoA.
Unless your MC is a fighter/mage he literally works on every team.
