IZJS licence board is way too restrictive anyways, its like playing FFX with the regular sphere grid, and none of the character's optimal roles are fun for roleplaying. In Vanilla you could have a bow weilding, magic throwing fran, wheras in IZJS you have to choose between the two. Additionally, going for the Guns class gimps the fuck out of you because they didn't change the balance from the original, which is guns are great in the beginning and shit towards the end. The only real flaw with the vanilla system was how everyone had every ability at the end of the game, but for the first 2/3rd of the game the progression is fantastic

Yes, I actually like XII. Especially for its world above all else. The amount of detail and effort in its world explaining every little facet of how people live and how the classes live and how the races are different was cool. I also really enjoyed going on Hunts, and the voice acting was fucking amazing. Sakimoto's soundtrack fit the politics and war themes really well, and I liked programming my units actions via gambits. Allowed me to have an easier time managing my party.

I assume that the KH problems came about because it was one of Square's first games for the PS2, even before they got bought out by Enix and had the Enix money, so the source code was probably stored very cheaply which led to it deteriorating.
Four years later, with the Enix money, Enix competency, and FFXII being a much bigger deal than Final Fantasy x Disney, I can only imagine that they kept the source code at least a little bit safer.

It's not the same thing, the KH1 final mix doesn't even have an english translation. Not too mention the soundtrack is actually better. BBS was also adapted to work with two sticks.

IX on the phone is emulated. The source code is lost. It's IMPOSSIBLE for Square to wave a magic wand and fart out new source code for it that they can port to Android. If FFIX is running on something that's not a PSX/PS2, it's running on an emulator because it is literally impossible for it to not be running on an emulator and on a device that's not a PSX/PS2.

Never played 12, one of 3 I haven't played (never got around to playing Japanese 2 & 3). It came out when I was trying to graduate and find a job, and by the time things settled down my ps2 was broken and I had bought a 360.
