Have I crossed over from a casual game to hardcore game? I did use some summons for a few bosses though.

I finished Dark Souls 1 just after it come out on xbox. I didn't have xbox gold so I didn't play multi and at all and obviously i stopped playing before Artorias dlc came out. Is it worth buying on steam right now? Are people still playing multi? Is dlc worth it?

no, dark souls isnt really that hard except for manus i guess, but its mostly about being a little bit observant and watching movesets and things around you, and using the dodge button a bit conservative i guess

Dude, they are some of the most popular games out there, played by literally everyone and everyone can beat them easily with some trial and error.
If you want to be "hardcore", get actually good and play combat flight sims where the missions can last more than 2 hours at a time.
Play Starcraft 2 competitively and reach ranks where people actually play well. Thats what I count as "hardcore", the word itself means so little now that only the extremes describe the word.
