epsxe obviously
There is literally no competence
It runs flawless nearly everything.
>>
>>333474341
Mednafen is the most accurate, PCSXR is the best for 3d games if you want enhancements.
>>
>>333475346
>flawless nearly everything
Yep, nearly.

The following games still has some issues as far as I know

InuYasha Feudal Fairy Tale
Misadventures of Tron Bonne (Savestates can correct issues with dialogue not progressing)
>>
>>333475304
Not quite.

There were several PS2 models that prohibited saving data onto a PS1 memory card nor would they save it on to a PS2's. This problem was famously common with FFVII.

I think PSP wold be the way to go.
>>
>>333475597
PSP isn't perfect with emulation either from my experience though this may just be either limitations associated with the 1000 model or I'm using outdated cfw. I know there's a lot of texture issues with Megaman Legends 1 and in regards to that InuYasha fighting game I mentioned above, it has an issue with the game stop working during a second round.

It's a pain to set up the emulator.

So your best bet is either the PS2, PS3 or PS4(select titles you can get via the store).
>>
Mednafen, and I personally use the Mednaffe front end because it's actually simple unlike the others I tried.

ePSXe sucked dick by comparison the few times I tried, far worse performance on my system.
>>

I wish I had money for PSIO.
And I wish freemcboot allowed to launch PS1 games on PS2.
For PS2 really best way it PS2 fat with hdd

The Vita

ePSXe + Pete's OpenGL 1.78 for smooth and easy playing. Eternal's SPU-Engine is arguably the best audio plugin.

Slap in following settings, and yer good to go for the majority of the big games.

>PCSXR is the best for 3d games if you want enhancements.
ePSXe 2.0 rendered it obsolete, as it even supports GTE Accuracy Hack now.

Retroarch's Mednafen

- Accurate
- Less input lag
- Higher res support
- Overclocking support
- Shader support

and fucking bitch to set up and use.
>- Accurate
People throw this term around like it'd mean something. Want to give me an explanation?
>- Less input lag
I've emulated PS1 games for over a decade, and I've never noticed any input lag
>- Higher res support
Same as above: nothing special for the past 11 years
>- Overclocking support
doable on other emus, but barely matters
>- Shader support
again, years old shit.

ePSXe beats the shit out of that clunky Android mess. If you want 1:1 authentic PSX visuals, just use a Software plugin, and enjoy your 240p unfiltered pixels.

SH1 has worked perfectly fine for that 10+ years, after I started using settings similar to those shown in: >>333480176

if you're too lazy to tweak couple settings for optimal experience, just use a software plugin.

Also GJ ignoring all the other criticism, and still not telling us what this magical "accuracy" means. Spewing out memes like fucking SEGA with their Blastprocessing is simply not impressive anymore.

Shit nigga what dialogue?
I've been playing it and it's perfectly fine.
Am I going to get blueballed somewhere near the ending?

God damn PS2 emulation is so much more difficult than PS1 / N64.

Never mind that, what is the best USB controller for PS1 and PS2 games?

Should I just bite the bullet and get a PS3 / PS4 controller for PC or what?
>>
>>333482008
yeah somes games will not run or run with gigantic drop in the framerate, but other are fines.

I've tried silent hill 3 and it run just perfectly ( software mode fix the shadows ), in 1080p, 60hz and with 16:9 fix, and I'm currently playing project zero 2 ( fatal frame in burgerland )
