They're based for other reasons, like actually providing a ton of content at release, making an effort for the game to look and perform good. They also have regular community updates and listen to it, which is a lot more than I can say for many other modern devs.
The content the release isn't like other devs where it was made before release and they're charging way too much for it.
The content they release is far after release and frequent enough to show they care.
I'm not even the biggest fan of Forza but I recognize a dev to give a shit about when I see it.
I don't like dlc anymore than any sane person, but in this age if more devs did dlc like them it wouldn't be as hated as it is now, still not favorable but more favorable than the bullshit most other pubs and devs throw in our faces now

It's an easy racing game you can pick up and play with great production value and visuals, especially for a console game as well as an enormous car list and track list.
What seperates it from a lot of sims is it has a lot more licensing too
