Having played them all as a teen, I have finally done a playthrough with 1 character from Baldurs Gate, Through Shadows of Amn and then to the end of Throne of Bhaal.
So many feels. Been doing it on off for the last year and a half or so. A game I absolutely love. Pretty deep in the feels for having "finished" it again.

I really disliked everything after Spellhold, with the exception of Underdark which was fine but stuck out like a sore thumb. But the whole vampire raid, the elves, those two tiny forest areas that exist for basically no reason, it was all kinda shit.

As a result of this, the only wizard in the setting who is probably more powerful than him is Karsus, the guy you meet in Shadows of Undrentide who brought down Netheril.

Call me a scrub, but the one part I don't like in ToEE is that you have like 3 hours in the first town without any combat, just talking to people.
Pacing would have been better if the game started on the road, let you kill some bandits so you get a taste of the combat system, and then arrive to the town.

Replay BG1+BG2 for the 10th time? This time with an evil party? (I played it with a good party like 10 times. Not because I'm a white knight, but because I love some of the good aligned characters)
Play NWN? I played NWN and HotU once when it came out, but I should really replay at least HotU once again. I played it in multiplayer and we rushed through the whole story. I also never played SoU.
Play NWN2? I played the OC almost to the end, but got bored. I liked the trial part, though. Also never played MotB, but I don't want to do so before at least finishing the OC, but then I would have to start again.
Play IWD? That's another game that I stopped playing halfway, got sick of dungeon crawling, shame on me. I actually never finished IWD, and never played the expansion or IWD2, even though I consider myself an Infinity engine games fan.
I also never finished PS:T. I'm just now starting to realize how many games that I actually loved ended up quitting the middle. It's like I just kept replaying BG1+2 in these last 15 years, while barely touching all the other amazing similar games.

Play SoU and HotU they're fun. SoU can be played with friends but HotU unfortunately has some singleplayer only scripting. You could also play modules with friends too. I haven't played MotB yet but I plan on doing it with some friends sometimes soon. I recently got a copy of KOTOR 1 and 2 for free so I'll have to try those first.

You can revive them at a temple for a hefty fee (or at higher levels, with a spell) unless they get "chunked". As long their portrait is still there they aren't lost forever.

Dying generally means a reload.
You can bring a dead party member (grayed out portrait, has corpse) to a temple and they will get raised for a few thousand golds.
If their icon disappears from the side of the screen, they are gone forever.

You can resurrect yourself if you got a Cleric with you with appropriate spell, or a scroll, or you need to go to nearest town with a Temple and revive there. IF you remove the character from your party or if it gets gibbed, you can no longer revive.

For BG1, I recommend the BG1 NPC mod. It adds a ton of banter (similar to BG2, but BG1 npcs never had it) between characters with reasonably good writing. Also gives them some background story that they will tell you. It's essentially fanfiction but it's good.
There's unfinished business and sirine's call which adds some cut content.

BG1NPC is great. They go way beyond just adding banter - the druid and animals fight you get when you cross the bridge to Baldur's Gate with Kivan is a great encounter, and the soundtrack they chose to stand in for voiced lines is great (too bad it doesn't loop on those really long talks)
