It sucks that all these new titles are ones tied to already established franchises. I feel like they would be able to do more if they didn't have to worry about already established canon. Like TWD could have easily been a standalone zombie title, and they would have been free to make S2 jump start a few years down the road and allow Clem to be an older protagonist and alleviate some of the problems from her being a child.
TWAU wouldn't have been able to exists though, which is unfortunate because even though it turned into a bit of a mess near the end it was really enjoyable. Being a prequel to the comics and having characters already established there doesn't give them very much leg room to work with in terms of story though.

The Fables comic has a lot of wiggle room though in terms of story telling. Pre-comic, theres the time period when the Fables first escaped into Europe, and then traveled to the new world, plus Bigby's WW2 days. You could easily put some new episodes mid-serieswhen Bigby just settled down and the kids were still together, or when Bigby was searching for a new location for Fabletown.. But then you would have to bring the non-comic reader audience up to speed.
