You know, I get the impression that the devs just didn't want to do a sequel. Sega did a bunch of sequels and spiritual successors to games back during the PS2/GC/Xbox generation, and on the GC instead of a Skies of Arcade 2 they decided to do a remake of 1 instead.

Yes. Or you can just create another account on PSN and buy it from Japan or Malaysia (it's cheaper there, but Kiwami is Chinese only. Ishin still has Japanese subs.)

Sega is the japanese equivalent of microsoft. They have a mountain of good IP's, but they're too fucking stupid to know what to do with them. I'd like to see sega bought by Nintendo, but Nintendo is just as out of touch as sega is so I only forsee Mario/Sanic crossovers with cameos from characters from other series.
Just sell the game IP's off like THQ did and let REAL devs make some games.
