In 2007 I was playing STALKER daily since I had been waiting for that shit to come out since 2002. Crysis had just come out, and all I was playing was TF2 and CoD4 online. Never got into WoW. I think I was also playing a lot of Mount and Blade's beta since I prepurchased it. High school was also nothing but Dawn of War and Company of Heroes.

I'm not sure which answer is more depressing- that games used to be great and now they suck, or that I'll never be able to enjoy them like I used to ever again.

2007 WoW to 2016 WoW is a steep decline, CRPGS are in the gutter now, baldirs gate gets its legacy shit on and we have a shitty mmo instead of NWN3, Halo went full retard, rpgs are for the most part shitty.

I meant a direct comparison between the two years. Wrath was good but the story had nowhere to really go once Arthas died and so we had the lore shitshow that was the cata-MoP-WoD arc.
I liked parts of MoP and Cata, I liked nothing about WoD.
