What does /v/ think of this game? The music makes me feel really nostalgic.

Really good, but it sort of runs out of steam after Lisa's zone.

Eat asphalt, asphalt eaters.

I still have my original copy and still haven't beaten it. It's so fun though.

The way Bart says it always sounded kinda muffled to me. I thought he said "Eat ass, bone ass bone eaters" (that sounds weird, but i thought he was referencing the Bonestorm game he wanted)
>>
>>333404786

That's what I thought, I hadn't heard of asphalt at the time though.

Those were my favorite levels actually. The missions were challenging, suspenseful, and had fucking fantastic music.

Like, when I was a kid and I learned that the aliens were at the museum, I thought "OH SNAP" and you could really tell shit was going down.

Also i find "city-at-nighttime" environments to be really comfy.
>>
>>333404472
Same. The farthest I went was to downtown Springfield. I owned Hit N Run,Road Rage, and Skateboarding.

They were all nostalgic for me. I wish they could all come to steam just so we could mod the hell out of them.
>>
>>333407952
ah what am i saying, it was actually ok once i got used to the voice, was nice turning just driving around with the music playing in the nighttime
>>
The last few missions with Abe and the UFO are fucking infuriating from what I remember. Aside from that, 10/10 game. Probably the best licensed game out there. Amazing how detailed the world is and how many things there are to find.
>>
This was beyond cool at its time.
>>
>>333404472
I could never beat the last leg of the last level with Frink
>>
I actually started playing it again. Gonna try to 100% it. The mods for the game look shitty though.

What's everyone's thoughts on The Simpsons The Videogame?
>>
>>333410027
i wouldn't bother modding a game like this anyway, it ruins the nostalgia

It was alright, gameplay's pretty bland, but the humor is still good. Although I played the PS2 version and I've heard 7th gen version was different.

It was on ps2? I played it on 360 and it was honestly the most realistic looking cartoon game I ever saw. It was pretty close to the actual show. Hopefully it becomes backwards compatible in the future.

The problem I had with it is it didn't feel like Hit N Run. I've had this idea for a Simpsons game where you could just live in Springfield and build stuff. Maybe kill other characters too. And every mission would be based on an actual Simpsons episode. It would be a way of giving the fans a final game for the Simpsons. You could also use every object that's ever been in the show. Would be on Xbox One and PC.

Final mission sucked and took forever to beat. Other than that I had fun.

Anyone played the Futurama game?
>>
>>333410642
A lot of people don't realize this, but Family guy was a funny, charming show back in seasons 1-3 Sure there were still a few cringe moments and jokes, but overall it was a good show.

I miss when Seth's style of humor was more corny/cute (Who touched the thermostat?), rather than tryhard and edgy like it is now.
>>
>>333411497
Yes. It's clunky as fuck but it has its moments.

Does anyone remember as a kid thinking this game had a really cool af story, but then playing it again and realizing how cheesy (yet funny) it is?

>south park makes fun of family guy
>creator of south park is literally my wife's son tier and BLACKED

>>
>>333411367
Yeah there was one on PS2, but it was a linear level-based action-adventure, and levels were usually set in certain wacky places from simpsons episodes, like RPG-like quest through Homer's dreamland or action/stealth missions in grandpa Simpson's war flashbacks. Final level have you as Bart do a DDR minigame against God to the song Rock You Like a Hurricane. It was all pretty good, I even heard from some reviews that it was better than 7th gen version.
>>
>>333410129
It was a repetitive and shitty beat em up with some good moments (I liked the dance-off with God).
>>
>>333411525
Yeah, early day Griffins had proper absurdist humor, not the lolsorandom running gags, and its characters were a lot more balanced and understandable.
>>
>>333412000
That's interesting. It had all those levels on 7th gen as well. Medal of Homer was goat.
>>
Fun, but very repetitive. Still haven't beat it.
>>
>>333411476
Fuck the final mission, fuck that barts monkey mission and that lissas fish mission. For fucks sake, they were frustrating.
>>
>>333410129

I never played it but I just saw a small walkthrough of it, seems fun
