He didn't even mention the return of the mana bar and the weapon arts, he didn't say anything about the covenants and NPCs or the story at all.
All I could gather from that review is that some late game bosses, not all, are maybe boring, and that the reviewer can't control the camera?
The camera was one of the hardest aspects of the game to learn to control, some players even after playing 4 games, still can't switch between lock on and free camera on the fly to adapt to each situation.
I don't think this reviewer played the older entries since he made no such comparisons.

Don't focus on one dude's review. There's no such thing as an objective reviewer, and it's possible his tastes don't align with yours. Aggregate reviews like Steam Score and Metacritic are fine but they're a starting point, they're nowhere near a perfect determination (see: people who stroke off to two or three point differences).
