Definitions of alpha and beta has been in software development for decades. You don't go from alpha to release in a few days, unless you're making a very simple game or an app. It will usually take 3-9 months for a game like this one.

No shit there's always a point when the current gamebuild is so messy that it won't even run correctly. But you don't show it off especially when you have people watching your stream who have bought the game beforehand and are waiting for alpha pass. Was STALKER alpha shit? Yes. It was horrible and I did not touch it after I saw my friend try it out. After BF4 launch I haven't bought shit from EA. If you make a game that is about start is public alpha testing relatively soon, you really cant show off a build that can even be tested. Glitching through floors and walls. Ok. Missing inventories. Ok. Laggy netcode and disconnects. Ok. Game barely runs for 10 minutes. Not ok. I'm not saying that they can't make it work. Star Citizen had the same shit crashing every minute, but now it's quite stable. But the EfT stream was a bad call from the devs.
