Combining small-scale tactics with large-scale strategy. The tactical game improves how well you're doing at the strategic game, which you play to improve your tactical game... It's an addicting feedback loop.

XCOM2 felt a lot more tactical than XCOM:EU at least for me. Probably because I was playing commander, but I loved going through ever scenario and angle for the best plan of attack. Then have everything work out.
I really want a mod to increase any gun tier to the highest you have researched. I want to continue using standard weaponry and armour. Instead of the stupid tron armour that completely clashes with most soldiers headgear.
It's just fun.
I'll begin an Ironman Commander run soon.

But honestly this game is what is keeping me a QQQ noob, like when you're point blank with a 95% chance to hit with your Major rank Ranger with a shotgun and they miss -.-
