quite sure if the PS4 didn't need to be connected to the internet for half of its functionality you would be able to use Remote Play with a router disconnected from the internet, used purely as a LAN. Hitting the windows key + s brings up a search bar, which is fast and comfortable as fuck. The OS itself is very fast as well, definitely a lot faster than W 7.
