Just because "normies" think it's amazing doesn't make it any worse. And it certainly is quality, everything is very polished. Also how many games can you say are like Uncharted? How many games combine running and gunning and climbing all in one this well to the point that it's not unique. The only game i can think of is InFamous.

At best he chose who he wanted for which role on whatever project. That rubs people wrong. And when someone has a superior ability to pitch an idea and back it with logic, that ruffles feathers too, even if the original idea was "pretty good."
Creative differences are a thing. It's nigh impossible to say that ND and Druckmann are terrible when it comes to delivery.

The praise ND gets comes from attention to detail, execution of voice/mocap/cinematics, amazing set pieces, and near perfect pacing. Their gunplay has and always will be standard fare, but even by industry standards they excel in that department with polish and movement.
You can literally see the platforming underneath the visuals. Placement of objects and terrain, perfect jumps...they're fucking great at what they do.
Most studios don't have their budget let alone talent. Every studio that makes third person adventure games literally takes notes from ND.
They're great. I don't think another studio comes close to their level of execution. /v/ can hate all they want, I'll be enjoying Uncharted 4 when that drops.
