>>
>>333359871

Consumers wait for polished games (or headsets, even) to purchase VR.
Publishers wait for consumers to buy VR to make their game worth even making.

Needless to say im waiting a few years.

Guess who is going to pay.
>>
>Why are people excited about a new toy when toys in the future will be nicer?

It's hard to enjoy stuff from the future. Import prices alone are prohibitive.

It's not the 90s anymore.
>>
The GiantBomb Vive stream confirmed for me that we're going to get two kinds of experiences in VR

>Standard FPS and cockpit games but now you can move your head!
>Standing in place and picking things up simulators

None of that is worth even $200 to me
>>

>that we're going to get two kinds of experiences in VR

For now.

Just you wait that someone pull off an innovative game like those we had for early 3d games.
>>
>>333359871
Huge potential
>>
You remember control methods until re4? Yeah. We're gonna have that for a while.

In a few years well get gyro aiming, except it's literally aim down the sight
>>
>>333360805
VR Gaming will be like the Wild West for the first couple years since everyone is just throwing darts at the wall to see which ideas/implementations 'work', and then building from there.
>>
>a VR dating sim
Yay or nay?

It's totally feasible with contextual menu and actual physical interaction.

Are you telling me that you wouldn't buy Job Simulator for 43.99? Op confirmed for poor cuck!
>>
ITT: people who have never touched VR let alone tried it
>>
>>333363215
It's free with the Vive, and you need it to play anyway.

It's just oculus cucks that have to pay
>>
>>333363265
awesome!
>>
>>333363375
I know right, based Valve showing how it's done.
>>
But if more and more people jump on the VR bandwagon right now, wont this spark a growth in the development in the VR development thatll eventually lead to even better VR equipment? If people didnt show interest as of now, then the VR will die off and it wont come to fruition.
>>
>>333363632

and if it fails it'll be gone for another decade at least
>>
>>333363632
Im waiting for at least version 2.0 of vr headsets with better screens and stuff....maybe version 3.0 just to be safe...
>>
>>333363735
Hopefully that wont happen, sony is making vr tech more main stream and thisll help it gain momentum.
>>
Im waiting until it is Psycho Pass levels. No reason to play video games on it for me.
>>
>>333360942
You could have said the same thing about Kinect but those games never came.
