How? It's basically every story about an "ancient evil awakening". The only reason anything is happening is because Chester is too retarded to understand that he could just stab the fucker (what he was going to do in the end anyways) instead of playing with forces he doesn't understand and causing harm to everyone else. Elena is probably the worst love interest of them all. That's pretty much it.
Origin's main story isn't anything groundbreaking either, but it puts focus on each character's story during its whole lenght. That at least gives the plot another side to it.
About bosses, I am replaying it right now. Most are still great, though some I didn't even remember till I got to the save point right before them.

I didn't have a problem with it dragging too much. I wouldn't play it if I didn't feel like it, plus the characters and their playstyles are different enough to make you take another approach to a battle.

Yeah the SNES port as bad, it had weird balance and terrible hit detection, which ruined the game.
Much better on T-CD or Genesis if you already know the story via the remake. The translation of that one is atrocious.
Does anyone know how to fix the constant scrolling in Oath in Felghana when playing with a DS4 controller? At this rate I'll have to play the game with Adol running to the top left corner of the screen all the time and using the menu will be even harder than the game itself.
