If you have a tablet just download the app and make a miitomo account without linking it to a Nintendo Network ID. Then do the face to face method with your phone. You can also just borrow another person's phone, do this and delete the app.

Like literally nobody, you can check the stats, not even Pokémon is being used on it, it's pretty much just used for Mario Kart Wii and very rarely Brawl, plus there seem to be like two people who keep in touch in Animal Crossing with it (which would be cozy, just you and another person hanging out in a completely dead game, privately).
At first I was stoked for Zelda Picross, but 1000 points for less than 50 puzzles isn't really that good. At this point, I'd rather just buy the next Picross e series game to feed my picross addiction- the puzzles tend to be more interesting anyway. Maybe I'll get it down the line if I have more coins than I know what to do with.
So I am probably going to grab some Miitomo game tickets and maybe one of the free VC games. I don't value physical rewards much, I don't like wasted space.
