DkS has overpowered magic.
Faith was worse build then Curse or Magic.
Also attacks in DeS and BB were swifter, had less recovery, and earlier canceling points. DkS even had dumb shit like whiffs causing your character to stagger retardedly.

You mean limited. You only get so many estus flasks until you reach a bonfire. Overall you get less healing items than if you went grinding for them in DeS and BB, which you are going to.

Wat. In DaS you get 20 Estus chugs that recharge at bonfires, on top of full heal Humanity which became piss easily farmable after they patched it because shitters complained.
In BB you can hold 20 vials on your character at a time, then when you go back to Hunter's Dream or die they're refilled from your box, exactly like Estus except they aren't free like Estus.
DeS I can't defend because grass was dumb as shit.

Honestly the level design, story, floppy animations make it not fun.
It's ........all right here we go. If you're the kinda guy who was looking forward to Lords of the fallen, it'll be good for you. For me it was unpleasant. Obviously from still made it, and I wondered if das1 set my bar too high and I was biased. Then I replayed des and it was better, and bb was better too, even back as a shitbox exclusive. I'd skip out on DaSII and just play DaSIII when you can.
I mean, play DaSII if you want, but it's not that great. DaSIII is more polished and the controls feel great. If you care about the story, then DaSIII more like a direct sequel to DaSI, while DaSII takes place elsewhere and emphasizes the whole cyclical nature of the Souls universe. Either way, you won't miss out on much as far as the story goes if you skip it.

I'm enjoying it but it's very obviously the weakest entry in the series. There are some dumb and unnecessary changes. i-frames are tied to a stat, so now there's a third mandatory stat dump on every build alongside VIT/END. When you parry an enemy, you have to wait for them to fall to the ground before you can riposte, so forget about using it in a crowd. I'm sure I'll find more as I continue.
What I hate the most about the game that I don't see mentioned very often is the fucking torch system.
