I've suicided my channel 4 times now because I like it.
I've been doing this ehole YouTube thing for a long time though anonybuds, used to record via bus tape through to the tv and then hook the vhs to special equip to the comp.
My advice is to not do this angle at all and if you do study it like its school? If you want fame it doesn't just land in your lap. Read up on comedy, take acting/voice lessons, invest in nice equipment. This isn't hard if you are smart about it but the fuck it lets try and see if I get lucky approach is useless and a waste of time. If you think big tubers are big out of luck you aren't really observing things closely.

I made a channel and put some total war vids up, then my comp broke and i've only now had it fixed.
Issue is I lack motivation now. In the time since my comp broke I looked at my vids and asked "what does/will this channel offer that no other channel will?" the answer was nothing so until I find something I have a passion for (like total war as I LOVE history) and has not been done 1000 times before, my channel will remain inactive.

Anyone here who has a lets play channel. That area is waaaaaay oversaturated on youtube. Very small barrier for entry, seeing as little 10 year olds can do lets plays.
I'd personally suggest finding a niche that you can fill well. Also, don't make videos with the intention of just getting subscribers, cause you're just gonna disappoint yourself.
