Where do you guys buy older games from? Internet, thrift stores, swap meets?
>went to goodwill last week
>find DMC 1 & 2
>buy both for $5
>didn't check if the games were inside because I'm a fag
>find MGS2 in DMC 1's box
Ausfriend here
Found GT4 and GT3 for a couple dollars in a Savers thrift shop
Also that's not a bad find despite not DMC

There a shop near me that restores old arcade games. I'm considering getting one but I don't know if it's the best idea to spend a few thousand dollars on a single game.

Internet, occasional thrift store find but those are mainly dead these days, local game shop, conventions. We have this Classic Gaming show once a year thats about 45 minutes away, deals there are really fucking good, imports, systems back to 80s pcs even.
>Internet, thrift stores, swap meets
Yes
Although it seems like deals are getting rarer, as more stores are wising up to the fact that retro games are a big market and hipsters will pay lots for them.

internet flea markets and a local game shop that i like. I don't mind paying retail because i like to support small businesses

During the PS2 Era I usually bought my video games at a nearby shop. I felt like supporting my local store so I always bought my video games at his store.
I distinctly remember him suggesting Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater to me.
Too bad he closed down in 2009 and got replaced with a carpet shop.

I check out the local shops for Gamecube, PS2 and newer stuff but most of the pre-2000's stuff is priced for retards with too much money and not enough sense. Swap meets/flea markets are pretty much the same. Thrift stores do have the rare good find (got Yakuza for $2.50) but I mainly keep to internet classifieds for decent deals but you have to be quick because other people/resellers are doing the same thing.

Sameguy, I guess it was gone before 2008.

No surprise.
It's a wonder if anything lasts in downtown.
i recently went to asalvation armyand found 007: agent under fire and a used ps2
I go thrifting maybe like once every two weeks or so, this is my last trip, I end up getting bored looking good for games I used to play so I just grab a couple of them if I can't find anything good.

I wouldn't bother buying old shit right now. Once the retro game bubble bursts, this shit is going to be selling for about one 20th of what it goes for right now.

I look forward to the bubble bursting then, because I really want a virtual boy and power glove. Hoping for a super scope too, but mainly the first two.
