I developed a porn game a while ago, contacted each distributor of VR headsets and Vive, Oculus, and PSVR all declined to let it on their system.

He's right, though. It's by far the cheapest of the big three, it runs on by far the most popular hardware and it's good enough. It's going to move a lot more units and therefore affect public opinion a lot stronger than PC VR has any chance to. The only thing it probably won't overtake is mobile VR.

This same effect will happen with HMD, they will become not as rare as before, and they will have its own platinum version, wich will be a regular for someone who was expecting this for long, and the cheap version to keep the cogs oiled.
Sony, not playstation could save VR because they manufacture screens, and when higer resolution portable screens like the PSVR became accesible for anyone else like now with samsung displays, it couldnot save but keep aliveVR

They're harder to make and they don't run on phones, that's why there's only a few of them.
Although I heard something about someone figuring out how to make Source Filmmaker render spherical video, so maybe something will come of that.

Oculus fucked up. they promised it would be cheaper than the DKs, Luckey spouted bullshit like he'd rather not develop VR at all than release a 600$ product etc so people lost interest after they'd seen the price and the companies that make porn don't care about a niche product

Most of the companies that make porn make that porn for GearVR and Google Cardboard anyway. With video recordings, you don't really get all that much out of something like the Rift or the Vive compared to a GearVR, because you can't do positional tracking and don't need ridiculous graphics power.
Is it too late to invest in VR porn? Is there even a stock market for it?
