This are more of a incremental improvement similar to the slim sku rather than a new architecture since that would cause user fragmentation and fuck up a lot of optimization on the software side for a lot of devs, Excavator based Apus are already gen locked so this new console "chips" is unlikely to be based on that gen unless it's just an incremental revision and the Zen Apus for the consoles will be announce next year according to their roadmap.

I honestly don't know what those people who complain about forced upgrades are doing, if you do a clean install of any version of 7 and run windows update with only security updates selected it will never bother you to install 10.

wait to buy these games until they're 10-20 bucks, buy consoles whenever they're on their way out, or when they're cheap and everyone has one. play these new games once all their dlc is already out or they have all their patches. play multiplayer games which have proven to be successful and that they will survive. honestly this will make you look respectable anyway. you see it as being too jaded to be excited for new games, others will see it as "I don't know if I'll like it. Once the industry sees that the library of games already made is competition for the new trash they expect us to buy, they'll get better.
