Just hit me. What if the ps4 was designed in a way that these expansions like what is used on the Morpheus will just be released every few years. The difference between a "casual" gamer and a "hardcore" gamer is how much time and money they want to spend on games and how accessible they want their games to be. How is some 15-year old kid who plays FIFA, Skyrim or Call of Duty hours a day not "hardcore" and not way different than someone who only sees appeal in mobile games or Wii sports? As another of a "casual gamer"; take my dad. He's a succesful lawyer and businessman. He loves old light-gun shooters like Time Crisis and Virtua Cop, because they are simple and short point-and-shoot games that just let him play and don't bother him with story or "deep mechanics". He never cared for RPGs and will never play them, because he just doesn't have the time. But he loved the Wii and loves his iPad, because they allow him to play the type of games he wants. He doesn't care about story, graphics, cinematics, competition. being challenged or deep mechanics. Hardcore gamers do. But millions of people, millions of "casual" gamers, just don't have the time for those things.
It's a group of people that has been left out since the death of the arcades. Arcade games were always easy to start playing. They had simple controls and were fast and fun. Sure some arcade games went more in-depth, but the average beat'em up had a single attack button. And guess what? My dad loves arcades. But he thinks the PS4 is just a PC that doesn't offer the kind of games he wants.

I'm happy with my Wii U, even if it has a underutilised gamepad that drove up the price. At least it has other controller options and a decent amount of great games.
I already have a PS3 and PC, so I get to play FFXV, VII and Perona 5 without buying a brand new console for $400. I get that Bloodbourne and Uncharted are huge titles and I'm sure many of you bought a PS4 exclusively to play those games, but I'm not interested myself. I see no problem here. I never said wagglan is bad, I never even called it wagglan as it's a stupid term to me - I generally like motion controls, I think they can add a lot to a game when used well. I never mentioned the wii would like to play ads as I don't believe that's what helped it succeed - it's widespread media coverage in talkshows, news, etc. is what I believe to be far more prevalent in generating interest.
