The game rehashes way too much and while returning to Anor Londo was a neat idea, the whole game may as well have a fairy shouting "REMEMBER DARK SOULS 1? THAT WAS A GOOD GAME YEA?"
A disappointment for sure, it seems like From does it best when it has a new setting to work with. Demons, Dark, and Bloodborne are all great examples of this, while DaS2 and DaS3 are just more of the same without that special feeling.

I have a huge fucking 1st world problem here. I'm a fan of the Souls series since Demon Souls and played every game in the series but the rehashing and the fucking community turning into literal reddit (I wonder who is responsible for that) is seriously putting me off, I have zero hype for DaS III. Eh, the thing I hated about bloodborne is the way the levels loop around becomes lazy.
Its great in central yharnam for the first time. Then you are confronted with door/elevators etc that you bump into but can't access because it "doesn't open from this side".
The only shortcut that was really awesome was the nightmare of mensis one, and that just felt like a shittier version of Sen's fortress.

His appearance is very similar to Gwyndolin so they might be the same person just with a name change due to time gap BUT the more likely circumstance is that Aldrich ate Gwyndolin since he became so powerful he boasted that he would eat the Gods themselves. If you follow the latter theory then it's evident that Aldrich has eaten Gwyndolin, Nito, and Priscilla

These games out stayed their welcome in my opinion. They all play similar, and aren't great anyway. Oh boy a game where I circle the enemy and strike after the ai swings and misses. I enjoyed Dark Souls 3 way more than 2. Game feels IMO more like Demon Souls with some Dark Souls nostalgia moments thrown in. My biggest complaint is that the bosses felt way to easy. I one shot-nearly all of them and only had issues with one boss (all on 1.01 build). Coming from mastering Bloodborne, this seems like it was bound to happen. Next minor issue is that most of the secrets are very in your face. I played completely blind and found every big secret with not much effort. Bloodborne and DS1 remain king. Still, I found it a satisfying end to the Dark series.
