My GPU just died after 1 year of service.
Serves me right for buying stuff during Black Friday.

What's a good gpu to use for the next year or so? Something I can later do a crossfire or SLI later.
>>
>>333122156
GTX 970 will do you good
>>
$350 for a 3.5gb card?

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
>>
>crossfire or SLI later
Wont matter once explicit multiadapter becomes a thing
>>
>>333122562
The problem is that I bought my GTX during a sale. Even a year later I can't find anything to match it's price.
>>
>>333122156
Polaris or Pascal?
>>
I mean, I'm totally selling 2 GTX 660 Twin Frozr's, bro.
>>
GPUs have 3 year warranties iirc ,atleast my MSI 750ti OC does.
>>
>>333124454
I don't even know where I'd go to claim that.
>>
>>333122156
just get a GTX980Ti and literally never need for another gpu
>>
>>333124860
except for the fact those chips dont natively support DX12.
>>
>>333124537
lookup gigabyte's website for your country or whatever OEM you bought the card from, look for a customer support number there should be under a "Contact us" tab or hyperlink at the top or bottom of the page just do a ctl+f.

ask them if your card's under warranty and they'd tell you if there's a service center close to you or if you have to ship the card to them otherwise.

it's worth a shot, what do you have to lose anyway.

>3.5BG is all that matters

I'm still butthurt about Nvidia pulling that shit, but don't act like it makes the 970 a bad card. It still easily runs most games on High/Ultra settings with a decent CPU.
>>
>>333122156
>Died after 1 year
Did you overclocked it to hell? If you did, then you probably fucked up.
>>
>>333122156
Just buy a 750 ti for now and wait for pascal to come out. I wouldn't bother buying a 970 at this point.
>>
>>333125214
Nah, I never did anything with it.

My PC just turned off and it wouldn't turn on as long as the GPU was connected in the PSU.

>>333125267
I think I might just do that.
>>
RMA it you retard.
>>
>>333125991
Already past the 12 month mark.
>>
Get a Titan black. You won't need a new card for 10 years
>>
Is 390 worth it? Do you really need 8GB memory for a card with that power?
>>
>>333126350
Three year warranty
stop being a dumbfuck and get it replaced
>>
>>333122156
Like what this anon>>333125267 said, or wait & see what PS4.5's like before spending ridiculous amounts on a gpu.

Sold my 980ti, no regrets desu.
>>
>>333128114
Gigabyte only gives 3 year warranty to Mother boards.
>>
>>333128717
I have a gigabyte 390 with a 3 year warranty
>>
>>333124916
Actually they support the highest feature level of DX12, but are inferior in terms of async compute when compared to AMD.
But that's just a single aspect of the API

Foreigner bro
>>
>>333130496
So why didn't you say you weren't in the US and therefor don't matter?
>>
>>333129741
It was a gross over simplification and likely some ignorance on my part.
>>
>>333130657
Go suck a dick, fucking americuck
>>
>>333129741
Actually, Nvidia cards doesn't support Async in any way and Async is the main aspect of DX12.
>>
Have you tried putting your GPU in the oven? Baking it could fix it.
