>Dodging is faster than running

>run
>jump
>immediately jump again when you touch the ground
>now you are moving even faster
>dodging is slower than running, but if you press dodge during a very small frame window of your previous dodge you can cancel the cooldown animation and chain dodge
Quick question for you guys, what do you think the fastest non glitch methods of movement are in ocarina of timeperfect sidehops > walking backwards > rolling > walking

>holding strafe while moving diagonally is faster than running straight forward
>dodging starts the running animation sooner

I know I've played a game that does this, I just can't remember which.
>sliding and jumping all but replace sprinting
Still fun as fuck, don't get me wrong, but it feels like Digital Extremes just said "fuck it" and cranked the mobility of those actions as high as they could. The maps clearly aren't designed for jumps that high.
It doesn't break the game though. Just something I noticed.

>turning sligtly while doing all of that makes you go even faster

I know Hyrule Warriors does
>>333062314
Hyrule Warriors was my reference point, but I'm sure something else does too.

I havent played for so long I remember that you could just helicopter with the dual axes
it was fun back then is it still fun?

I never played while the mobility was ass, but I find the movement fun. I find myself bullet jumping and gliding around like an idiot in relays and clan dojos, where you don't even use your weapons, because it's just entertaining, I guess. The movement is very fluid.
Game's come a long way. I recommend it.

less armour = better defence

god of war 2,
i spent that entire game rolling everywhere
>>333064883
Couldn't you just hold the block button and mash the right stick to cancel rolls automatically?
>There are two "runs"
>One when in combat and one out of combat
>The in combat run is slow as shit and you cant manually switch between them but have to wait until the character goes back into out of combat
Fuck Blade & Soul
>It takes a full minute of walking before your sprint activates
>stopping for even a milliseconds require you to walk for another minute.
Mirror's Edge has some decent speed tricks

it was something like that , i dont remember
you could cancel a lot of animations in this game
>>333061637
>game has Lagomorph Ring that lets you bunnyhop
>>333065649
>Combat slows your movement
that's annoying as hell in gw2, especially when you take fall damage and you're not even in combat
>>333061637
Warframe is all about the slide, slide attack, jump midair slide, repeat.
Even funnier when you do a mario64 momentum glitch on the edge of a railing and exceed the speed of light.

One Piss PW3 also does this
