OK, so I was playing Bloodborne, and have just arrived at this shithole. Hoe the fuck is this place fun/fair?

I stopped playing after I accidentally fell into that hole in the middle of the main room. Any advise if I'm missing something? Also, does it get better after this? I really dislike how the game changed after killing Rom.

It's not nearly that hard. Equip graveguard set for frenzy resist. Run past rock throwers, run past spiders, run past hunter, and hit the elevator for easy shortcut.

no, it is very unfun. the bosses of the area are really the only good thing, although the whole of the building after the spider room and before the first boss is ok.
but from spawn - NPC hunter, and Boss - second boss, it is pure shit, and very blatantly rushed. The latter half of the stage is fucking Demon Ruins tier with a reused boss as stage enemies in a straight gauntlet to the boss.

Once you get inside and hit the shortcut it gets much better. I had a lot of difficulty with that area too, but once you clear the frenzy field it's a cakewalk as long as you don't get careless.

This area is easy. Just run
Pro tip: enemies never follow you for more than 2 steps. Run to the shortcut. Spiders drop nothing. You can get everything in that area just by running. No real incentive to fight enemies, just like in the rest of the game

I just ran through the area too, it was the only one throrough the whole game that just felt like bullshit. Luckily skipping the area was easy and the shortcut is almost impossible to miss.
Well, there is also the cainhurst castle area with those bloodlickers, somehow I never learned to fight them and ended up avoiding them.
