I paid $50 and I don't regret it at all. The combat is crisp, and weirdly almost never lags.

Got to lvl 132 on wiz and i'm can't gain anymore lvls. The spawn rate is fucking retarded, can't grind anywhere. Dungeons/missions have a limit of 2 entries per day. But lets look at all the complaints - Can't trade, some quest can only be done in keyboard mode, no character customization, limit of 4 character slots when there are hundreds if not thousands of class combinations, itemization sucks, no sp recovery in combat, boss cards that are worthless for 99% of the classes, limit on how many buffs you can have. Thats all i can think of now

ToS gets closer to it than most. Fact is, the stuff they're doing just downgrades it from "amazing" to "does all the bullshit other MMOs these days do but I guess it's fun".
Still, the only good MMO is one with a subscription and no further microtransactions or a pre-purchase and no further microtransactions, and we both know that those are horrendously unpopular. There can only even exist maybe 2 big ones at a time, and one's always massively larger.

i picked that zombie summoning class but those things are so fucking slow and do shit damage and getting them up takes a lot of work so i'm stuck with a 30 second cooldown nuke that no longer kills things in one cast after 40. I dropped the game and haven't picked it up since.

Bad class balance
Most skills are functionally identical to other skills
Damage calculation is COMPLETELY retarded. A skill's base damage is just added with whatever your attack stat is. For example, 300 + 300. This also means that skills with multiple hits gain a lot more of a benefit from stats than single hit skills. This kind of scaling could be done fine, but it wasn't.
You spend most of the time auto-attacking because 90% of the skills in the game are plain bad, on 30s+ cooldowns, or both. It's boring.
You don't regenerate mana or health while attacking. (just why)
Poorly optimized. Bots spamming global chat actually causes the game to stutter.
Extremely bad servers. The game hasn't been stable for a single day since release.
The worst thing, imo, is that despite being a game about grinding, a lot of classes have no area of effect at all, and the spawn rates in high level areas are god-awful. You end up playing a class that's bad at grinding in an area that's bad for grinding in a game where grinding is the only content. It's fucking stupid.
