Wuuuut? Chris' campaign is the most polished and gameplay-focused of the four. Leon's has better pacing, but gets bogged down in RE4 homages and slow walking sections that help build atmosphere at the cost of slowing the game down.
I only finished the Leon and Chris campaigns, but they were both shit.

It's just my opinion but I think that games like resident evil or dead space shouldn't feature enemies with guns. Enemies with limited use ranged attacks are fine but other than that I think the only gun enemies should be special bosses/mini-bosses.
I'm replaying it now on the PS4 with a friend we just finished Leon's campaign. I honestly think they just didn't know what to do with the second of his campaign because its basically just a whole bunch of boss fights and I only think the final one is actually good. I'm going to play the rest with my friend and see if my opinion has changed at all since I first played it. I pray to god Chris's isn't as bad as I remember it being .

My brother and I had a lot of fun playing Mercenaries in RE5. He'd always play as classic Jill and I'd be Wesker. Good times.
I liked it a lot, the gameplay was fantastic and it was pretty over the top and cheesy to keep it entertaining. Things were fairly varied in enemy types too, they tried pretty well.
