What I'm excited about is that DaS3 apparently makes bow builds viable for the first time in a Souls game. Prior to this, bows were basically just for PvE aggro straregies. Like you'd equip the bow, aggro an enemy, then switch back to your melee weapon/pyromancy/miracle/sorcery. Now you can just fight full time bow.

Nope. They made bows fire faster and have shield/armor piercing weapon arts. So bow builds are now viable for mid range one on one fighting instead of being just for standing on a far off ledge kiting enemies.

Magic can't do shit in DaS3 because all attack magic scales heavily with stats now and does NOT favor early game. So not only do they do almost no fucking damage at the start but they are also forced to focus on at least 2 stats which gets them one shotted by everything.
So basically magic retards are where they were supposed to be since the inception of the series. In the trash.
Nothing beats dashing trough monsters and killing a camping retard with a single swing.

I'm playing through the game right now and actually tried to clear an area using only the composite bow and it's fun as fuck, to the point I'm considering to do a bow-only run as my second (currently running STR).
Also I don't know if it's new but now bows have roll attack, if you fire after rolling or dodging you fire instantly at the cost of sightly reduced damages.
