Very much so, yes.
Vita is a remake of an older EDF so It's relatively very simple.

Well, EDF4.1 already runs at 1080p60fps (with drops), I don't think PS4K is a requirement for it.
Either way if you're really scared for some reason just wait until E3 and see what they announce.
Btw PS4K is just now being discussed with devs. Apparently specs aren't solid yet, they might add a new CPU or not. It's far away from releasing. If it is a thing it'll only come out in 2017.
If you can bare to wait another year for EDF, persona5, FF15, etc then sure. Otherwise just grab one now and have fun.

EDF4.1 was on a steamdb list, with gramatical errors, alongsie HalfLife3. There's nothing more to it. It's been half a year since the original release and nothing has been said. Again, no other EDF game has ever been on PC.

It depends on your class.
Heavy gets 4 weapons, They can use a shield or spear or shoulder mounted rockets and stuff, they're slow as shit but can use dash attacks
Support can call in vehicles, air strikes, and buff allies, there's even nuke weapons that require at least two people and a weapon slot on both of them to use, a support to target and a heavy to launch iirc
Air Raiders have jetpacks and can snipe and use homing lasers, but they get rekt easier and generally deal less damage
Normal troops are still the same old fun

On AirRaider you have 2 weapons + vehicle (I think, haven't played the class.
On Fencer you have 4 weapon slots

I am the fencer and have powerful homing missiles, but can't shoot them at all unless I have an AirRaider with some sort of guiding system in my team. I asked the other 2 players to run away from my missiles and try and kill me instead with them by guiding them to me using their own body as bait.
We used those game mechanics for fun make-shift PvP
There are many other ways to support. Shields, domes, healing cars, energy rechargers, etc. And you must use tactics (preferably over voice chat) and assign roles to each and every member of the team on higher levels in Inferno difficulty, like the WingDivers flying up to the cores of giant alien dropships and killing them with a close range weapon while the fencer shoots bad guys in the sky and the AirRaider heals everyone up & bombards ground units

WingDiver is the most OP because you can fly and most weapons are useful/obligatory for some inferno missions
But I've always stuck to Fencer as dashing around (quickest class in game with this mechanic) and overall feeling like a mecha feels great. If you like crazy melee weapons, shield deflections, or bullet drop + fighting with recoil and heavy aiming like in this webm >>332964972 then you'll love it.
AirRaider has a lot of gizmos. Fuckhuge mechs, vehicopters, pic related, nukes, other bombs, smaller mechs, huge holographic shields, healing items, recharge items, etc. Basically ou are the IT guy and everyone loves you (if you don't bomb the fuck out of your teammates)
Ranger has some of the most OP weapons. Pretty much like Fencer but more damaging, shoots faster, has zero recoil and no bullet drop, etc. His problem is mobility
