As in picking up every tech talent? Probably not recommended. Focus on the paths you're actually going to use. Sometimes that means you're going to have to dip into another path, like some explosives for a gun user so you can make bullets.

It's a game with a lot of humor and atmosphere, but it's a pretty messy game as a whole. Iirc the development process got messed up because the publishers made them switch from what they had originally wanted to a more diablo-like system.
Definitely worth 0,74. Though at that point you might as well pirate it.
