Ridge Racer isn't too bad. There's also Flow, Strategery, Peggle, NOVA, and iVoyages, which is a port of the old text game Super Star Trek.

You can play Sonic 1, 2 and CD on iPhone. The port of 2 also has a complete SEGA-approved Hidden Palace Zone, a zone that was originally cut from the game.
Ghost Trick by Capcom is worth checking out too, a fun puzzle game.

Have you actually tried any?
Emulation on older platforms was good 6 years ago. That was when I used my phone primarily for playing SNES/Genesis games with very few problems. Now its as good as PC emulators and newer consoles are supported.
I know this is /v/ but actually try something before you add your worthless opinion.
Touchscreen controls will always suck, unfortunately. Wouldn't try to play an action game or anything faster paced without a physical controller of some kind.
