The first is good. It actually focuses on the space, establishes the universe well with a varied cast, it has somewhat unique and flexible gameplay that reflects the game universe, and your choices throughout the game actually influence shit later on.

The second is lame. It has a retarded ass story (that is made 99% irrelevant in the third) that focuses on really shitty characters while also shitting on the cast from the first game, and it replaces the gameplay with a generic third person cover shooter where you come across ammo for your one gun every five feet and spam your special skills.

The third is fucking awful. It takes everything the second game did worse and amplifies it hundredfold.
