Sure, most likely, but i dont like the direction the series has been heading in for years. Story elements were ripped out from the games so the plots are really boring and made for autists, and booms tone, despite being a spin off, has leaked its way into the main games. So the series is just making fun of itself even though some of us actually enjoy the series and its being ran into the ground with memes and self deprecation while relying on nostalgia pandering for losers who cant move on.
I just want something fresh and big budget with an epic feeling around it, something new like adventure 2 or unleashed was back in the day...

Well i actually enjoy sa1, sa2, heroes, and rivals so hes not all doom. Dudes got some weird ideas though. Journey into dreams wasnt bad, couldve been a lot better though but i loved the dreamy setting and story it had, thats one thing that carried over from the original

Nowadays the Nostalgiafag Genesis autists are looking back at the series and screaming about how Sonic "never had a story" and "is just about go fast" and "shouldn't have any other characters." They've done it for so long now that Sega has started listening to them. Yet even though every Sonic game has JUST had Sonic, JUST been about Gofast, and hasn't had a story for years now, they still repeat the same memes over and over. They hired writers who literally refuse to play Sonic games and make jokes like "Baldy McNosehair," so while the gameplay itself might be fun everything else is a marked step down.
The Comics have the right idea. Sega should just hire Ian.

Journey of Dreams was a victim of modern video games. The actual NiGHTS stages are fun, but the rest of the game is padded out and boring; people don't remember that NiGHTS is only 7 stages long, which wouldn't fly nowadays. It was also apparently rushed as hell, and they'd originally wanted to do a full 3D game.
The A-Life system is really cool, though.

SA2 is way better than 1, everything it got rid of was for the better. The graphics were miles ahead and the gameplay elements were more refined.
Heroes was very interesting, and had some good level design but had some problems with the controls and the enemies having health and stuff was awful.
Shadow was the natural progression from both Heroes and Adventure series, the worst parts were entirely optional and it is overall probably the best of that series.
Games are good.

Thats what i mean. The night stages are still as good as they were, it was just padded out to be longer because the eras changed. 1 hour games wouldnt fly in 2007 or today for full price. That hub and a life world was so comfy and it was still the same dreamy nights that launched on the saturn.

Not even the main stages in JoD were good, you basically can't score attack them thanks to the key and cage setup they had.

The camera was better and they were more dynamic. that one level with the piano notes you could hit and played the main theme was so nice. the charm of the original was definitely still there, there was just more of the game than the original.
