I can't imagine anything hyping me up as much as those trailers ever again. About anything. I don't think I've ever been more excited about a piece of media in my entire life.
I should've learned after MGS4, but Kojima raped me again.
I can at least assert that the trailers were masterpieces.

I longed for it for 3 full years. The trailers were the hypest shit and as a long-time MGS fan I was so excited to see the last bit of Kojima's story, and all the pieces were in place for it to really be the greatest MGS game to date.
Words can't even describe the sinking feeling I got as I played.
Top tier gameplay. Shit tier story.

Once I maxed my FOB, I stopped playing and then actually wiped all my data from my PS3 so when I go back to playing it I can do things differently.
Though the most fun and tense was attacking an FOB and having the defender try to find me or the other way around.

The biggest problem with the game isn't even the terrible, unfinished story; it's that there's nothing new to do in the fucking game after a few hours. Every mission is copy and pasted.
Honestly, as was mentioned, it's the best disappointment I've ever played; I actually loved it while I was playing it, but then when I realized that there weren't going to be any new developments, that there were no special or interesting missions, that the game wasn't even goddamned finished; it just broke my heart.
Also, Quiet wasn't hot, interesting, cool or clever. She was fucking lame bullshit. Do you think anyone tried to explain that to Kojima?
