Sidescroller, top downs are generally shit. You can't control with the same sort of precision and it ends up feeling more chaotic and less refined.

Depends on the direction of the game.
One isn't inherently better than the other.
It's a waste of time and childish to try and argue this.
What if you combined the top down perspective with the side scroll perspective in the same game . Like what if you could see move across two dimensions, but also another dimension like, you know? Like pretty cool idea actually.
