Best thing about Witcher is that not even witchers are immune to one lucky cheap hit.
Well let's take some of Geralt's main strengths:
Is a master swordsman
Can cast minor, fairly limited but useful magics
Is charismatic, or at the very list, diplomatic
Has a very wide knowledge of beasts and otherworldly monsters
Essentially, he's a level 10 ranger from 2nd Edition D&D
There's plenty of fantasy characters that can match or exceed that
