It was a really good campaign. It was longer than most. Multiplayer was surprisingly neat. It's not the greatest game of all time, but I don't know why people bag on it. It was certainly better than the Uncharted games. Though I never intend to play the tumblr dlc.

The game isn't bad but it really has a lot of flaws for a game made in 2016. Grounded mode is fun but it isn't balanced well at all, I cant believe they would initially charge for this, the enemies just do more damage and you die way quicker, there is no change in AI behavior.
Even then, sometimes the game decides to just kill you after you get punched 1 single time, but sometimes you can take a couple hits. All around, the game has a lot of problems and it is very linear but the gameplay when it isn't bullshit is satisfying.

Not OP but I'll have my input on TLOU. First of all this is clearly for a different target audience than Ni no Kuni. That said, you and I are gamers and probably enjoy a handful of kind of games... That said, TLoU is better in most of the technical aspect. The gameplay mechanics are tight and serve well, there's clearly a sign of balance. The story was quite engaging for me and the anti-climiatic ending and the pace of the game was quite different compare to most AAA in recent history. The audio great, cutscene well integrate and not over-long as well as having legitimate moment like when you see the giraffe. People shit on Joel for his choice at the end but since the beginning of the game you can clearly see how the Fireflies are really not well organized. The certitude of them getting the cure from the girl at the end is off. The devs had an idea and I believe this idea is really well executed to the contrary of Ni No Kuni which borrow assets from a lot of game without synergizing at all together.
Plus the multiplayer of TLOU was a massive sleeper hit. Probably one of the most fun/balance online TPS this last decade. Add up the surviving elements which makes everything more tense and on the spot.

I got the PS4 release of it and honestly it didn't really grip me at all.
Though it kinda put me off with the cheap as fuck beginning where you're with the daughter for all of 5-10 minutes and then she dies and you need to be SAD because the entire rest of the narrative hinges on this thing because its SAD.
