I was curious about trying SWGEmu since I adored it as a kid but I'm afraid it will just be a hallow shell, a zombie, a shadow of its old self.
I could go back to AO. It was fun during its Free to play period years ago.

I'm never spending money on an MMO again since it usually just ends up as a single player game for me because I don't pay at peak hours. The Secret World, Guild Wars 2, EVE. It'd be more fun with a group of friends but none of my friends play MMOs

While I frequent /fit/ and it helped me with getting started lifting, I have to admit there's some merit to your words.
HOWEVER, you have to understant that /fit/, just like /v/ is full of memesters of the highest caliber and retards alike.

Lifting does improve your life, remarkably. Because it's not just about lifting. Your lifestyle improves overall: you lose weight (people don't often realise just how much of a confidence booster that is), improve your diet which affects your mental state a lot, lifting WILL make you more confident (even an ugly fuck like me, when I first squatted 100kg for 5x5 I felt on top of the world), you will learn to keep at things, to reap what you sow, it's all about you so you can't claim that you didn't achieve that because someone else or something else didn't want you to.
