Let's take all other context out of this and just look at that fact. Isn't that indicative of a ridiculously shitty system that we live in?
Like, I can't say much more without knowing how much Nintendo paid her but you can slay a student loan on 35,000 a year - which isn't unreasonable starting for a college-educated individual.
After paying off my debt I had to deal with the bleak reality that it will take me decades before I can own a home assuming a reasonable salary growth projection. And if I lose my job at any point (yay working for corporations) I'd have a small buffer until I go to being uncomfortably fucked. And I don't get the benefit of having a social justice parachute that is obviously going to make sure Rapp has a soft landing from all this.
I actually envy her position. She's going to be rolling in hundreds of thousands of dollars to attach her story to idiot media personalities. She might be unemployable for a bit, but she will have more than enough time to work through that.
